VISION:
BJGEA was established in the year 1970 with the aim of promoting jute goods markets globally. All the renowned business personalities of this country mainly concerned with Jute and Jute products business organized this Association with the vision of upholding the 100% bio-degradable and recyclable echo friendly "Golden Fibre". Now our endeavor is to offer services to our valued Members which relates with various Govt. & Non-Govt. Organization in exploring markets in home and abroad.
MISSION:
To maintain our status as an "A" class Association, we are committed to co- operate and help our individual exporter to earn foreign currency for the nation and to improve the livelihood of nationwide jute growers as well as Business Community.
A) What kind of organization BJGEA is?
Bangladesh Jute Goods Exporters' Association (BJGEA) is an "A-class" forum of the Business Community who are specially engaged in Jute Goods Exports Business in Bangladesh. It is a registered organization under the Ministry of commerce & The Registrar of Joint Stock Companies & Firms since 1970. BJGEA has been established to coordinate and cooperate the Exporters of Jute and Jute related products of Bangladesh who are engaged in earning of foreign exchange for the country.
B) How does BJGEA run?
BJGEA is governed by the Executive Board of Directors in terms of rules and regulation of ARTICLE OF Association & Memorandum. Its' main source of income come out from the contributions made by valued members in the form of entrance fee, annual renewal fees, export certificate issuance fees etc. Some time, some of the Members come forward with special donation as and when necessary.
B) What service do the members receive?
BJGEA is a registered forum of the Exporters of Jute Goods in Bangladesh with their present registered office at 3/12, Culvert Road (4th Floor) Naya Palton, Dhaka -1000. It is the central Secretariat of the Association for the time being and the Members receive various services through this office most of which are as follows:
1. Enrolment as new Membership (General/Associate)
2. Various exports or business related information from the Govt. or non-Govt. and Private Organization from time to time through the Association.
3. Mitigation of business dispute and arbitration.
4. Export certificate and other necessary documents relating to export from EPB.
5. Invitation on business fair, various Seminars and meetings in connection with promotion of Exports of Jute Goods at home and
abroad.
6. Other Services as and when necessary.
d) What are the sub-committees of BJGEA?
This Association has eight Sub-Committees for more improvement of the activities of the Association for the interest of mass participation of the members. The sub-committees are as follows:
BJGEA Publication, Bulletin and event management related issues.
a) BJGEA Administration, Finance & Accounts.
b) Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) & Welfare related issues.
c) Bank, Financial Institution & Financial Services issues
Ministry & other trade Organization related issues.
Trade delegation and trade fair related issues.
a) Export Policy and Promotion, Tariff and Non-Tariff Barrier, Multi and Bi-Lateral Trade Agreement and Industrial Policy.
b) Customs, VAT, Taxation, NBR, EPB and Shipping line related issues.
c) Incentive for export of jute goods issues.
6. Export related dispute, Legal & Arbitration issues.
7. BJMC, BJMA, BJSA and Directorate of jute related issues.
8. Diversification of Jute Products and SME Entrepreneurship Development relat issues.

Each of the Sub-Committee consists of 5-7 members including one Co- ordinating Director, One Convener, One Co-Convener. They are supposed to look after the related issues calling meetings in every 2/3 months and shall propose their valuable and dynamic suggestions and proposal to the Executive Board for final decision for executation.
